Power Upgrade at 14 London Underground Substations

DPSS were selected to install the new SWA cables across 14 Substations on the Northern Line and the Jubilee Line to provide a dual supply to Signal Equipment Rooms (SERs).  This included installing new post routes and traywork to enable the Power Cable to be installed. DPSS also carried out all the termination and testing of the SWA Cables and 2 of the largest routes required trackside joints. The cables ranged from 25mm2 (4 Core) to 185mm2 and all were hand-pulled from strategic locations without the use of Engineering Trains.
