DPSS were employed to perform a Tag & Trace Survey at Cockfosters Depot.
This was part of the preliminary phase of works which would lead to the installation of new maintenance facilities.
The upgrade to Cockfosters Depot will see the demolition of the existing depot, cleaning shed and train wash. This will be followed by the construction of a combined maintenance and cleaning shed, new internal access road, car parking, vegetation removal and associated works by VolkerFitzpatrick.
The Tag & Trace Survey scope was to identify:
– Electrical Systems
– AC Mains (LV, High Mast Lighting, Walkway Lighting)
– DC Mains (Traction Current)
– Communications (Telephone line, Data cables, security cables, CCTV, BMS, PA)
– All cable runs, including interlocking Machine Rooms (IMR) cables
– All Switch rooms
– Fibre Optic Cabling
– Signalling Systems
– Fire Systems
– Legacy Assets (redundant assets which are no longer in use, but are still in-situ)
DPSS Tagged & Traced over 2000 cables across 4 main areas of the depot.
